This wedding was off the charts AWESOME. First, Michelle & Mathias are about the nicest couple you could ever hope to work with. They are so genuine and in love and it’s obvious how much they love to be together. Planning was no small feat for this couple since Michelle was at their home in New York City while Mathias was in Europe playing professional hockey and they also had to coordinate many of the guests being from overseas as well. Mathias is from Austria and his family and friends made the trip to Albany to celebrate with this super couple. So even with all of the extra stress Michelle and Mathias managed to have one of the most beautiful, thoughtful and detailed weddings I have ever had the pleasure of photographing. And I haven’t even mentioned that we worked with some of the best in the business on this one. Flawless by Tina provided her always stellar make-up skills, Fleurtacious Designs was responsible for the killer flowers, the always awesome CASL productions was on hand to document the entire day on video and to top it off DJ Jeffrey Scott was his usual fabulous self keeping the dance floor busting at the seams all night long. You may remember that the Casey Connell Fun Booth was in effect and if you missed that post you can check it out here.
Love this shot of Tina working her magic.
How awesome are these robes from Etsy that Michelle gave to all of her bridesmaids? I’m in love. And what a gorgeous group of ladies right?
And she also gave each girl a personalized hanger.
I’m a little obsessed with this shot of Michelle. She is just so gorgeous and I loved capturing this little quiet moment just catching her breath and getting ready to go get married!
That is a girl who loves her grandmother.
Speechless on this one. Michelle looked AMAZING. And the flowers are exceptional.
These girls were up for anything and so fun to work with. And the dresses are some of my favorites. Both the color and the fabric photograph so beautifully.
Love these two. Michelle with her sister and maid of honor Nicolina (in pink) and with her friend and future Casey Connell 2012 bride Kristin (in the gray).
LOVE the guys wardrobe as well. These suits are fantastic.
Could not have asked for a more perfect day.
LOVE.
Can’t forget a nice classic portrait.
One of my favorites from the day.
This is definitely one of my favorite bridal party shots ever.
The pink and grey details were everywhere.
The penthouse terrace at Taste is perfection.
I have seen quite a few choreographed dances and some can be a little stiff but this couple took it to another level. This dance was unbelievable.
And they followed Rule #1: Dance all night long at your Wedding!
When DJ Jeffrey Scott is on the scene the dance floor looks like this from start to finish.
Love this one too.
Michelle & Mathias also made sure to incorporate elements of Mathias’ Austrian culture: from the Viennese Waltz he and his mother danced to, to this custom sign in the groom’s native language of German. Thank you Michelle & Mathias for allowing us to capture such a spectacular day. Hope Hawaii was perfect in every way!
