You may recognize Amanda from the countless weddings she has shot with her sister Cheryl of CASL Productions.  It is always the highest compliment when another professional in the wedding business chooses you to capture their wedding and it can also make you a little nervous.  Having been to so many weddings and worked with so many awesome pros, they have the highest standards.  But from the moment we first met with Amanda & Dan we hoped we would have the opportunity to work with them.  They are so happy together, they laugh a lot and they have an amazing vision for their big day.  When it came time to choose a location for the engagement session it didn’t take long to choose Moreau State Park where Dan asked Amanda to be his wife.  They also can often be found here fly fishing, camping, kayaking and hiking so we tried to incorporate all of that.  In the end, it was one of my absolute most favorite sessions. Amanda had her make-up done by the incredibly talented Kaitlin Bray of Strut. Spalontique and her sister Cheryl tagged along with her cameras.  We had so much fun.  We can not wait for their December wedding at Franklin Plaza!

Amanda is a dream to photograph and the light was so soft and beautiful.

LOVE these two and so glad I brought along my Hunter boots because the only spot to really capture that sweet light was about ten feet into the lake : )

LOVE.  Dan is awesome.  What a super fun guy and such a good sport.  Thanks Dan!

Then we switched gears a little and set up a camp site…my dream site right on the sand next to the lake as the sun went down.

As any any seasoned camper will tell you rummy is essential.

LOVE. LOVE. LOVE.

Could you find a more photogenic couple? Nope I don’t think you could : )

One of the most important qualities in a husband is the ability to make you laugh.  Dan succeeds with flying colors.

Amanda’s eyes are insane and oh how I love my 50mm.

Scrabble anyone?

Perfection.

One of my favorites : )

LOVE these two.  It’s so fun to capture something that a couple obviously has so much fun doing.

The light.  The colors.  The couple.  Doesn’t get any better.

and then they found their own private island.

You may remember this shot from the sneak peek.  Sweetness.

Thank you Amanda and Dan for the most fun afternoon and we can’t wait for the big day!

We LOVED every single second of this session, so of course, choosing a sneak peek was damn near impossible. Expect a GIANT blog post this week with a whole lot more of this gorgeous couple : )

I am in love with Jaclyn’s style. In love.  Her dress from Angela’s Bridal literally made me drool.  The gorgeous flowers were by none other than Fleur de Lis. And we couldn’t have imagined a more fun couple to work with than these two.  They were married at the beautiful Point O’ Pines on Brant Lake in the Adirondacks on a gorgeous unseasonably warm day…we were lucky to have a lot of those at the end of the season.  Definitely a wedding we will never forget from start to finish!

The only thing better than having a sister is having four sisters!  Jaclyn’s four sisters were her bridesmaids.

Jaclyn was ready for rain so when we got a beautiful sunny day we couldn’t let these cute rain boots go to waste!

I adore this series.

One of my favorites of the season.

Actually I love them all.

Another favorite.

Love this idea.  What could be more inviting than a table full of home made pies?

always remember there was nothing worth sharing like the love that let us share our name  -  the avett brothers

Liz & Matt were married on a positively frigid day but the rain and snow held off as long as it needed to and this Adironadack venue made the perfect back drop.  Liz wore not one but two custom dresses and her flowers were unreal.  We just loved working with this couple. Hope you enjoy these!

The only thing better than some navy blue ruffled Stuart Weitzmans is a nice pair of comfy navy blue Uggs. Perfect combination.

beautiful bride. beautiful flowers.

And I am pretty sure you could not have found more gorgeous bridesmaids if you tried.

This is one of my favorites from the entire wedding.

And then it was off to get married in a quaint old chapel.

The new Mr. and Mrs. McGrath

Point O’ Pines is breathtaking.  If it wasn’t freeeeezing I would have wanted to sit in one of these chairs and never leave.

LOVE.

Another favorite.

One thing you should always ask your bridal party…if I say jump will you?  This was a great group to work with and they definitely needed to move around to warm up a bit.

IN LOVE.  This would be my choice for a giant canvas.

Every detail was perfection from the apple centerpieces to the birch cake with their initials to the candy apple favors.

Amazing.

We LOVED this couple right from our very first meeting. They have such a great style and are so much fun.  Their engagement session was one of my favorites of the year and I knew the wedding would be even better.  Jaclyn was a stunning bride with what just might be my favorite dress ever.  Angela’s Bridal did it once again and found the perfect dress for this bride.  The flowers were off the charts by Fleur de Lis in Troy and Point O’ Pines had the beach and the lake and the bright sunshine that made this one awesome wedding.

Speechless.

Jaclyn’s bridesmaids were her four sisters.  I love that.  Sisters rock.

Kevin was quite the handsome groom as you can see.  Love these two : )
