Amanda & Dan’s Adirondack Engagement Session

You may recognize Amanda from the countless weddings she has shot with her sister Cheryl of CASL Productions. It is always the highest compliment when another professional in the wedding business chooses you to capture their wedding and it can also make you a little nervous. Having been to so many weddings and worked with so many awesome pros, they have the highest standards. But from the moment we first met with Amanda & Dan we hoped we would have the opportunity to work with them. They are so happy together, they laugh a lot and they have an amazing vision for their big day. When it came time to choose a location for the engagement session it didn’t take long to choose Moreau State Park where Dan asked Amanda to be his wife. They also can often be found here fly fishing, camping, kayaking and hiking so we tried to incorporate all of that. In the end, it was one of my absolute most favorite sessions. Amanda had her make-up done by the incredibly talented Kaitlin Bray of Strut. Spalontique and her sister Cheryl tagged along with her cameras. We had so much fun. We can not wait for their December wedding at Franklin Plaza!

Amanda is a dream to photograph and the light was so soft and beautiful.

LOVE these two and so glad I brought along my Hunter boots because the only spot to really capture that sweet light was about ten feet into the lake : )

Then we switched gears a little and set up a camp site…my dream site right on the sand next to the lake as the sun went down.

As any any seasoned camper will tell you rummy is essential.

One of the most important qualities in a husband is the ability to make you laugh. Dan succeeds with flying colors.

We were so excited to finally meet Jacob after his Mom’s belly session a few months ago. He is sweet and full of smiles and looks just like his Dad…such a happy baby boy with two parents who absolutely adore him. It is so much fun to document a new family in those first few weeks and we loved every minute we spent with this handsome little man.

Those lips. Those eyes.

LOVE.

Now that is the face of a very happy baby : )

We met these two beautiful ladies and their absolutely perfect baby brother at the new studio space we are offering our clients this year. It has a simple, clean feel and stunning light and we are so excited about it. Of course, we could not have asked for better models. We literally could have spent the entire day playing, singing and being silly with Sophia and Olivia. And Dominic was a peaceful sleepy guy for most of the session. It was such a pleasure to meet them and we hope to them again soon!

Her eyes. That full head of dark hair. Those sweet little lips. She loves to be held. She lives for her mama and she has a huge smile that she kept under wraps for most of our session. This lady is a beauty.

Sneak Peek: Gia is One!

What a difference a year makes! From belly to baby we have had so much fun watching Gia grow. She is such a sweet, funny, little girl on the move and full of giggles. We are so honored to have been able to capture such a special time for one of our favorite families.

Everyone LOVES this fur vest Kari wore and her hiking through the snow for the shot on the right. Its definitely one of my favorite belly shots ever.

And then Miss Gia came along. She had the most beautiful lips and those huge brown eyes.

One perfect family one year later.

She is irresistible!

My baby sister has decided to break with the two baby trend me and my sisters have had and go for number #3. She has always been the bravest sister : ) We can’t wait to meet the newest Baker baby in the Fall. Obviously the two big brothers are already so excited!

Erin & Joe’s Wedding at The Crooked Lake House

Erin was one of my favorite brides ever! After the engagement session she took many of our suggestions for relating to the camera and just went with it. This bride rocked it and she has one pretty fabulous groom too. They were such a fun and beautiful couple. I loved Erin’s non traditional gown and everyone has been asking me about the gorgeous collared coat she wore over it, both of which she found at Something Bleu Bridal in Saratoga. The other element of her wedding day style that really had people talking was her unique pony which was done by stylist Erin Durrant. The gorgeous make-up for Erin and her girls was done by Tina of Flawless by Tina with her amazing assistant Polina. We also have to give a special thanks to videographer extraordinaire Mike Verenini of Lovecraft Productions for not only being such a pleasure to work with but also for helping out with our photobooth set up when a piece of our equipment broke. He was a master of the camera but also the duct tape and we thank him for that! The event took place at The Crooked Lake House in Averill Park which is just one of the most amazing venues in the area. The staff is amazing to work with, the food is always excellent and this unique spot has some of the most beautiful light of any venue we have photographed not to mention the beautiful outdoor areas and the view. With all of these awesome elements, it no wonder that this sunny, snowy wedding was one of our favorites.

James and his new baby brother Gavin

Heather & Max’s wedding was one of the early CCP weddings. We go way back! We photographed their engagement session, their wedding, their belly session, newborn session, 6 month and 1 year sessions with their first son James and were so honored that they asked us to capture the next milestone, their second son Gavin. Two more handsome boys you could not find. There is no greater honor than documenting all the most important moments in the life of a family so thank you Heather & Max. We can’t wait to see you all again soon : )

We photographed Kristen & Chad’s wedding at The Inn at Erlowest three years ago…you may recognize them from our website : ) Their wedding was one of our favorites so we were so excited to hear they were expecting a baby in just a few months. We can’t wait to meet the newest addition to their family!
